January/February 2010 Newsletter
Humor and laughter is such a wonderful part of life. Perhaps you're like me and you remember when as a child laughter and joy came so easily. It would flood over us so quickly and fill us up with happiness.
Today, I'd like to stir up a few of these happy moments from my childhood and from my recent trip to Sudan.
I hope they will remind us of good things and how important it is to share joy and laughter with each other.

I have always loved Christmas. It touches all of our senses, sight, sound, smell, taste, but in a soft and magical way.
It also touches our memories of loved ones and the warm feelings of happy times shared together. Christmas is one of those times when “home” means so much as loved ones gather near. It’s a time when memories are captured in photos and in our hearts.
In this issue I would like to share a few of my Christmas memories and photos from my childhood. We all have memories we keep in our hearts and I hope my memories will remind you of yours.

Having goats as pets has been a very interesting experience for Mike and me. Yoshi our little pigmy goat was the size of a small cat when we adopted him 17 ½ years ago. Over those 17 odd years his curiosity and zest for life has left me with many memories that I will always hold dear to my heart. Since Yoshi passed away on September 16th 2009 I thought it only fitting to dedicate this newsletter as a tribute to our little friend Yoshi who was a little bright spot. I hope these stories bring a smile to your face.

Autumn is my favorite season of all! This season touches every sense. Touch, smell, taste, sound and sight. Autumn truly is a mosaic of all the seasons! Autumn is also my favorite season to paint, with its rich colors of orange, gold, yellow, red, copper and green.
When I begin to paint my calendar for the new year I always start with a Halloween picture. This month I’d like to share two of my favorite Autumn memory paintings with you.

Owning a business that is open to the public 7 days a week has its challenges. But what is even more challenging is when you live where you work. I would like to share with you just what it’s like to have guests come and visit your home every day of the year.
