In 2007, I had the privilege of participating in a heartfelt initiative called " Passion for Sudan ".

I joined six other women and traveled to Sudan With a humanitarian organization called Canadian Aid (CASS) for Southern Sudan.

Our journey was made in an effort to help women in this area of the world rebuild their communities following 20 years of civil war.

In January 2008, 2009, and 2010, I continued to return to Sudan to run the Music and Art Camp along with Denise Pelley, an aclaimed London, Ontario singer, and other volunteers.

With the help of donated art supplies from Van Pelt's Office Plus and other contributors, our camp has been a resounding success each year.

The purpose of the Music and Art Camp is to bring a new experience to the Sudanese children.

We wanted to bring joy and laughter to the children of this war-torn region.
